Drink Tasmania Premium Tours are the specialists in whisky and wine experiences in southern Tasmania

Having come from a wine family background, Brett founded Tasmanian Whisky Tours in 2013, just before Sullivans Cove Distillery won the World’s Best Single Malt Whisky and has been taking guests to experience their whisky and others ever since. He is a committee member of the Tasmanian Whisky Producers Association and was the co-curator of the first Tasmanian Whisky Week in 2016. He has (most likely) visited Tasmania’s whisky distilleries more than any other person over the past 5 years and has watched the industry expand at a rapid rate with new distilleries coming on board every year. Brett has personally designed the tours to encompass the past, present and future of our rich distilling island, the diversity of the modern distillery set-ups from tin-sheds to sandstone estates and the wonderful array of colourful characters that are behind them waiting at the stills to share their stories and of course their whiskies!

Patrick is the co-founder of Drink Tasmania Premium Tours. In 1998 he and a friend established Blustery Banks vineyard near Devonport in the state’s North West. In 2006 he moved to Bicheno on Tasmania’s East coast, where he worked three vintages at Freycinet Vineyard and Winery during that time. In 2009 he moved back to Hobart, built the first Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden in Tasmania at Moonah Primary School and then spent 18 months at Stefano Lubiana Wines establishing a bio dynamic restaurant garden and orchard. Since 2011 Patrick has been a tour guide with a focus on wine and food tourism and has a broad experience of both beverage and food industries. He is our wine guru on the team and always ensures he is seeking out the best seasonal experiences (and tastings) for our guests.

Our tours have been designed to let guests experience the best of southern Tasmania’s award-winning craft beverages. We offer full day and half day tours. Our guides specialise in the craft beverages industry, having been winemakers, whisky producers, bartenders, restaurant owners and researchers we have customised our tours to reflect what we love about the various industries in Tasmania and to show the vast diversities across producers. We have worked closely with producers to gain access to areas that aren’t always available to the public. Our relationships with the industry is what sets us apart and is what makes Drink Tasmania’s Premium Tours, truly memorable.
