- WHERE TO MEET FOR THE TOUR
Brooke Street Pier, Franklin Wharf, Hobart. You will meet your tour guide on the ramp of the Brooke Street Pier at 9am. If it is raining the meeting point will be the entrance inside the glass doors at the top of the ramp. Please arrive at 9am, at the latest. Please note the Whisky and Beer Afternoon tour is the one exception and meets at Lark Cellar Door, 14 Davey St at 2pm. All other tours begin at Brooke St Pier.
Please note, due to our busy schedule on the day, we will depart at 9.15am sharp, so please don’t be late, or you will miss the boat! If you miss the departure, refunds cannot be offered. We will return at approx. 5.30pm.
- TICKET PRICE
We offer half day and full day tours. Half Day tours begin from $109pp and Full Day Tours start at $149pp. Please see our individual tour pages for prices.
- HOW MANY IN A GROUP
Tours run with a minimum of 4 passengers and a maximum of 11. Please note if there are less than 4 bookings at the time you wish to book, you can still do so. You will be sent a confirmation email as soon as the minimum number of bookings are confirmed.
If there are less than 4 bookings by midday the day prior to your tour, you will be contacted directly by Drink Tasmania and alternative arrangements can be made. You will not be charged for the tour. Where appropriate we will endeavour to offer alternative tours in advance.
- GROUP BOOKINGS AND PRIVATE TOURS
Drink Tasmania is now available to accommodate special group bookings and private tours. If you have birthdays, wedding anniversaries, bucks afternoons or staff outings that you would like to discuss please contact us direct on email [email protected] or mobile 0475 000 120 and we will do our best to arrange a custom tour to your needs.
- WHAT TO BRING
Tasmanian weather is unpredictable at the best of times, so please bring warm clothes, a jacket and an umbrella if you have one. You may get wet while moving between the vehicle and the venues! Please wear enclosed footwear. Cameras, phones, bags etc, all welcome and can be locked in the vehicle, but please note Drink Tasmania is unable to take responsibility for loss of personal goods while on tour.
- DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Let us know via the booking system or email us ahead of time with your special requirements, so we can arrange substitutions for lunch.
Bookings are essential and must be made in advance via our secure online booking system. We accept Mastercard and Visa. For those who prefer over the phone bookings, please call Drink Tasmania direct and we will be happy to make the booking for you.
If we are unable to answer the phone at the time, please leave a voicemail message or send an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We do recommend you book early as tours are popular during peak season and do sell out. All bookings must be made by midday the day prior to departure.
Drink Tasmania requires pre-payment for all tours and events. Payments are accepted by utilisation of the on-line booking system, credit card booking via telephone, or internet transfer. Please contact us to confirm tour availability if you would prefer not to use the on-line booking system. Tour places are not confirmed until payment is processed. Once booking has been made you may choose to make a payment via direct deposit to our account:

- CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to a minimum number of passengers required to confirm a tour, once payment has been received, refunds are unavailable for cancellations. However we will gladly reschedule you for another available tour or offer a gift voucher that can be used to book a tour upto 365 days later. Within 48 hours of tour departure, cancellations, refunds or rescheduling are unavailable. If Drink Tasmania must cancel a tour, a full refund will be given to ticket holders.
- CONSUMING WITH SAFETY
It is the responsibility of participants to consume with safety according to their individual dietary requirements, including any food allergies or intolerances, or any other health issues. Food substitutions may be available with adequate notice. Please email us if you have any concerns.
- RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
Please read our full CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL POLICY FOR GUESTS on the POLICY page. Drink Tasmania is committed to running tours where participants are both happy and safe. In line with our duty of care to tour participants, Drink Tasmania ensures that alcohol served and consumed on the tour is done so in a responsible way in accordance with the Liquor Licensing Act 1990.
Personal information shared with Drink Tasmania is solely used in the organisation and conduct of the tour and to contact you via email to update you on special events or offers. No information is kept, stored or shared with any other party, or for any other purpose. Please let us know if you would like to be on our mailing list for special events or offers from Drink Tasmania.
- PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
Drink Tasmania holds public liability insurance in its responsibility to both participants and venues. In the event of a claim, all dealings will be managed by our policy holder.
