Let us take you to the heart of the Apple Isle in the Huon Valley. From Franklin to Middleton, the Derwent Valley to the Coal River, visit the working orchards and hear the stories of Tasmania’s rich apple heritage, all while you traverse some of southern Tasmania’s most remarkable landscapes.

Drink Tasmania’s Full Day Cider Tours operate as private bookings only and can be booked by request any day of the week from October to April. Please note we will visit different cider-houses on different days of the week depending on availability, however we will always ensure we create the best and most diverse experience available on any given day.

Meet the cider-makers, walk among the orchards and eat the fruit direct from the trees during harvest. This tour gives you the opportunity to visit 3-4 cider houses in a single day and to taste up to a dozen different styles of cider, from traditional to bone dry, to wild ferment and many more.

For private bookings of less that 4 guests, we can accommodate customised tours in a luxury Audi A5 or Mercedes Benz. We can arrange to visit different producers on certain days of the week depending on availability, however we will always ensure we create the best and most diverse experience available for you on any given day.

You will receive a private tour guide and the flexibility to curate your own tour route. You can leave it up to us to create the itinerary for you, or you may wish to visit certain places. We specialise in working on this together with our guests to suggest what will offer the best experience for your group as well as ensuring the places that you wish to visit are available on the day, that it fits the producers’ schedule and that they aren’t too far apart geographically.

You may also like to consider booking a public Half Day Cider and Wine Tour which run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from $109pp.

Cider houses we visit include – WILLIE SMITH’S ORGANIC CIDER / PAGAN CIDER / LOST PIPPIN / RED SAILS / FRANK’S CIDER / TWO METRE TALL / THE APPLE SHED.
